Langston House Circa 1892
Client's Kirk and Leona engaged Studio Trio to undertake a kitchen renovation, dining room, bathroom and laundry make over. The home being one of the original homesteads in Epping of the 1800's required Heritage council approval to take down a wall between the kitchen the dining room that block much needed light. Once that was approved we began the design process. Original cladding to the ceilings and walls had to be retrained and everything design around that. The beautiful kitchen with full height cabinetry, a servery to outside, aged brass lighting, navy oven, butler's sink, original Australian antique furniture and English fabrics add to the charm. A new family bathroom was designed with a shower bath as the space was a 2.4m x 2.4m square. A practical laundry using Laminex to keep costs down was added and interior decorating the dining room.
