Victorian Terrace Circa 1884
This Victorian Terrace Circa 1884, originally a workers cottage in Sydney's Inner West is a personal project of Studio Trio's principals, Steven and Lauren. This project was featured in House and Garden Magazine May 2019. This formal home was a labour of love with every inch of the home designed and decorated in complete heritage style. The use of an 1800's scenic mural wallpaper, mixed with antique pieces, Classic Blue and White colour palette to reflect that of the soldiers colours of the 1800's, custom joinery, beautiful tiles, re-instated plasterwork, artwork, antique lithographs, classic wallpapers and curtains were among many of the lovely pieces that make this home truly unique and special. The home was very narrow and tall but Steve and Lauren ensured all joinery was taken to full height, large cornices were used, curtain poles were sitting underneath cornices and furniture fit perfectly.
The outside deck was created to give the feeling of flow. A bench seat was designed to house garden tools and to relax on in the sun. A BBQ was created for outdoor entertaining and to look into the private courtyard.
